This unforgettable journey starts from Bangkok, continue on to Laos, following parts of the MekongRiver, past gorgeous and lush countryside. It covers Buddhist monuments and French colonial architecture in Luang Prabang, the sleepy capital of Vientiane, and the Mekong Delta in the South with Tad Fan, the Bolaven Plateau and the Khmer temple of Wat Po.


Day 1, Bangkok

Arrive in Bangkok, transfer to hotel, and evening briefing with rest of the group.

Day 2, Bangkok - Chiang Rai

Temple tours of Bangkok which includes the GrandPalace and Wat Phra Kaew (Temple of the Emerald Buddha) and Wat Po. Flight to Chiang Rai with airport transfers included.

Day 3, Huay Xai – Pakbeng

Drive from Chiang Rai to Pakbeng (2.5 hours) with stops along the way. Cross the border into Laos, overnight in this small border town.

Day 4, Luang Prabang

Journey by private boat down the MekongRiver with a stop along the way at Pak Ou Caves, arriving Luang Prabang late evening.

Day 5,  Luang Prabang

Free day to explore Luang Prabang on own.

Day 6 & Day 7, Phonsavan - Vientiane

2 days travel from Luang Prabang to Phousavan with a visit to Plain of Jars, arriving Vientiane late evening on Day 07.

Day 8, Vientiane

Day to explore Vientiane

Day 09, 10 & 11, Don Khong 

4 days and 3 nights in Southern Laos, time spent in Tad Fane in the Bolaven Plateau, home to ethnic minority groups, and one of the 18 designated National Biodiversity Conservation in Laos. You will also visit ancient Khmer temple complex of Wat Phu.

This mystical site pre-dates the world-famous Angkor Wat in Cambodia and Don Khong, the largest of the 4000 Islands.

Day 12, Pakse

Return to Pakse from the Delta after a day visiting waterfalls from Don Khong.
