shwedagon-paya-adhazraStep Back in Time in Myanmar

Embark on a journey to Myanmar, a long-isolated country where even young people still wear longyi (a sarong-like garment) and enter monasteries and nunneries for periods of meditation. Religion is a part of everyday family life here, with Buddhism being the most visible form because of its temples and shrines that liberally dot the landscape.

Most of Myanmar's population lives in rural areas, and although there are cities, you won't see any big box stores or shopping malls. Transportation is achieved on feet, bicycles, pony carts, and boats, and in mostly elderly cars and trucks.

To those of us who knew the old Asia, going to Myanmar truly feels like stepping back in time twenty to thirty years. Join us on a Myanmar Discovery Programs this December or next January to visit some of this amazing country's major cities, natural wonders, and cultural sites and meet her people. We recommend you reserve your spot soon, as our two tours are in a season of high demand, and interest in Myanmar is strong and growing; this country is on the threshold of great change.
